Story
Tay Rowing Club members are rowing the entire length of the River Tay from its source to the sea, to raise essential funds for the club and provide an indoor space for winter training.
We'll be rowing the total distance of 193km across 2 Concept 2 rowing machines on Saturday 29th June 2024. We'll be starting at 9am and rowing in shifts to hopefully complete the challenge by 6pm. The event will take place at Bell's Sports Centre in Perth, Scotland.
Any and all donations would be much appreciated, Thank You.
The River Tay (Scottish Gaelic: Tatha) is the longest river in Scotland and the seventh-longest in Great Britain. The Tay originates in western Scotland on the slopes of Ben Lui, and flows all the way through Perth, where it becomes tidal, to its mouth at the Firth of Tay, south of Dundee. It is the largest river in the United Kingdom by measured discharge.
