What is TAP For Bristol?

TAP for Bristol is a not-for-profit initiative from Bristol City Centre BID in partnership with Caring in Bristol and supported by Redcliffe & Temple BID.

It provides a secure and simple way of donating to those that are the most vulnerable in our society, with donation points located in the windows and on countertops, of hospitality venues across the city centre. Donations can be made with one (or multiple) TAPs of a contactless debit or credit card or mobile device, with each TAP donating £3.

Why choose Tap For Bristol?

50% of donations are made available to local homelessness charities via grant applications to support individuals who need immediate help and are available for local charities, organisations and community groups to support named individuals towards a safer, more stable life. The remaining 50% provides funding for Caring in Bristol’s prevention projects, helping people to remain in their homes and reduce the risk of a life without a place to call home.

Our City

Helping to solve homelessness relies upon our city’s ability to support long-term prevention programmes, tackling systemic issues around homelessness. Early intervention is critical to the success of these programmes, as is raising awareness of the complexities surrounding the issue.

Funding both homelessness prevention projects and crisis support is what makes TAP for Bristol a unique initiative.

This JustGiving page has been created to allow individuals or organisations to donate amounts which are larger than a £3 TAP and all donations are directed into the same TAP for Bristol fund as those given via the TAP for Bristol donation points.
