Due to the COVID pandemic and subsequent Government guidance on social distancing and the cancellation of large gatherings, Tameside Pride will not be going ahead this year as planned in July.

The event was a huge success last year with well over 2000 attendees and events throughout the year to raise LGBT visibility in our borough, raise awareness of LGBT issues and raise funds for our local LGBT+ charity, Aries UK and local support groups.

Despite this pandemic we must continue to celebrate the strength we have in our diversity, we must continue to celebrate our LGBT+ community and support its vital work. Pride is important, and COVID won't dampen our Pride spirit.

We're delighted that on the 1st of May we will be hosting Tameside's first DIGITAL PRIDE, from 6:30pm until late, streaming on our website and through Facebook.

To continue to support the work of Tameside Pride and our local LGBT community, we'll be raising money for Aries UK too and in light of all of the amazing work being done by all the heroes in our NHS at this time to keep us all safe, we're delighted to announce that we'll be splitting all donations we receive equally with our local NHS at Tameside Hospital.
