The world feels wide in North Carolina. A magical landscape is ours to explore, from the mountains to the foothills, the Piedmont to the coast. As we rollick and roam through our lush backyard, greeted by birdsong and dwarfed by pines, we discover that the best classroom is the one that’s outside.

About the charity

Our hope is simple: to awaken a connection to the natural world within students. Because when kids form personal connections with the world around them, they’re compelled to care for its fate. To shape its future. To become good stewards of its endless gifts–and even better students of life.
