Story
TackleAfrica uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across the continent.
On June 1st we are launching a campaign to get our supporters to collectively race against the clock all the way to Africa! Together we will race 20,000km and raise £20,000 to support our programmes in Africa.
Participants take part by:
1. running, walking, cycling or swimming any distance they like
2. Donating £20 here
3. Nominating 3 more to take part
The clock starts at 12noon on June 1st and then the race is on to finish it before the end of August
20,000km over 90 days. That is 220km per day. 9km per hour!
The route will take us from London, Europe, across the Mediterranean to Morocco and then on through the 12 countries we work in in Africa through a total of 25 countries all the way down to the finish line in Durban .
You can clock their times on Strava/any relevant app/watch and post a pic on social media. Take part as many times as they like over the 3 month, only 1 donation is required
