Story
This August, North East Autism Society's annual cycle challenge returns with a European flair, as we head onto the continent for the Twin Town Tour Twenty Twenty Two.
The T6 Challenge, as it's known for short, will see us visit the Twin Towns of places where NEAS has service provisions for autistic and neurodiverse people. We'll catch the ferry from North Shields to Ijmuden, Netherlands, and cycle to these towns in North Western Germany, before circling back to Amsterdam and catching the ferry home.
The towns we'll be visiting, and the North Eastern towns they're twinned with, will be Oberhausen (twinned with Middlesbrough), Mülheim an der Ruhr (Darlington), Essen (Sunderland), Wuppertal (South Tyneside) and Mönchengladbach (North Tyneside).
All funds raised from the challenge will support North East Autism Society, which for more than 40 years, has led the way in providing autism-specific care and education for children and young people right across the North East of England.
Thank you for your support.
