Following the success of the Swans Big Sleep Out, Swansea City Foundation is organising its second challenge of the year, a cycle ride from Oxford United FC to Swansea City AFC ahead of the last game of the 24/25 season.
Paul France, Head of Swansea City Foundation, said, “Organising sponsored events is a crucial part of the Foundation’s strategy. It allows fans and non-fans to contribute to making the Foundation a success. The events allow us to raise funds so that we can work closely with partner organisations to deliver some really impactful programmes.
The Swans Cycle Challenge 2025 will help raise funds to support two crucial areas of Foundation work. It will support the amazing Health and Wellbeing work being delivered by the Foundation, such as Cwtch Coffee, Fit Jacks and Parkinsons Walking Football. It will also allow Swansea City Foundation to work with Street Child United to take 10 street-connected young people from across Swansea to represent Wales in the Street Child World Cup in 2026. This will be a real life-changing event for the young people involved.
The Cycle Challenge will be an annual event, cycling back to Swansea for the last home game of the season from the team we are playing, whether that is Cardiff or Sunderland. We are limiting places to 50 riders this year, with the aim to grow numbers year on year”
The Swans Cycle Challenge 2025 will be supported by some amazing businesses who deserve our thanks. Owen's Group, Joma and Turners Coaches are all doing their bit by providing services to the heroic cyclists.
