Story

The Sussex Beacon supports people in Sussex who are living with HIV. Changes in medication now mean that most people live a full and long life, however for the most vulnerable, its a constant challenge. Living with HIV you are much more likely to develop secondary conditions like diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular disease or kidney disease. Many of our patients need social care and help with their day to day lives as well as increasingly mental health support. Many of our patients are aging with HIV and are increasing frail and more prone to other infections. They are also more likely to be living alone or isolated and prone to depression and poor mental health.

The Sussex Beacon is here offering specialised support and a safe place for everyone living with HIV in Sussex.

Please support our amazing #TeamBeacon runners and show your support if you can by making a donation. Running 26.2 miles is a massive achievement and we are extremely grateful to all our team.
