Story

The work has started!

Our Field Development Project commenced in late August 2022 and we all eagerly anticipate the grand opening in 2023 - here's what we have to look forward to:

A meet & greet building that will accommodate the essential meetings between our dogs and their potential family members and other dogs; ensuring our dogs get the best home possible.

A dedicated puppy unit to meet the needs of any future mums and pups, in line with animal welfare standards and ensuring a safe place isolated from other dogs.

A living room environment to facilitate the socialisation of our dogs who sadly have never had the opportunity to experience an indoor life, this is expectation within our rehoming procedures and a vital and necessary transition.

A cat garden to allow our cats and kittens to explore the great outdoors complete with grass and shrubs and in a secure environment.

Four external exercise runs to give our dogs daily access to agility and larger, multi surface areas. This type of exercise is vital for welfare and wellbeing and gives our dogs the opportunity to run free prior to finding their forever home.

We are entering challenging and difficult times with a cost of living crisis and an increase in the number of dogs and cats coming into our care, just as rehoming is slowing down, with more people giving up their pets to rescue.

This is why we need your continued support to provide love, care and attention to the unwanted and vulnerable dogs and cats that we look after every year.

All ballot prizes have been kindly donated.

The ballot tickets cost £1 each as a voluntary subscription and an allocation of tickets will be made in line with the amount donated.

Please complete the name(s) you wish to place on the ticket and contact details should you win.

The draw will take place on Saturday 17 December at 12noon - at this stage the justgiving page will close. All winners will be contacted within 48 hours of the draw.

The ballot is registered with Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council

GIFT AID SHOULD NOT BE APPLIED & IF APPLIED ENTRY INTO THE BALLOT CANNOT BE CONSIDERED

From all at the Sanctuary, thank you!
