Story
Devoted husband, father and former professional rugby player Jack Adams (34) is sadly suffering from cancer.
This was first diagnosed, out of the blue, in just mid-April 2021. He's received treatment and has been incredibly brave and remained in good spirits throughout. However, unfortunately treatment has not proved successful, Jack is now terminal, so the outcome we have most feared is soon likely to come to pass.
Jack lived for rugby in his earlier years. Following his England U16s and 18s selection Jack is proud to have represented all of the club's he played for at a senior level, be it Gloucester, Bristol, Moseley, Cinderford or Chinnor. Another highlight was his stint representing England 7s, travelling to South Africa, Hong Kong, Dubai and Australia as well as playing in London and Edinburgh.
Since retiring in 2017, Jack has devoted himself to his family and to his new career in construction management. He's not left Rugby behind though, coaching local senior teams Brockworth RFC (his boyhood club) and Hucclecote RFC.
Jack has three children, Alfie 13, Florence 9 and Tate 10 months.
This campaign is to raise funds to support Jack's favourite charity and to provide some future security for his children. Jack's charity of choice is Maggie's Centres (Cheltenham) who have been a great support and comfort to the family through this period. Any money raised will be shared between Jack's family and Maggies Centres.
Restart, the official charity of the Rugby Players Association, will be managing Jack's JustGiving Campaign. All funds donated and raised via this fundraising campaign will go directly to supporting Jack and his family and to Jack's chosen charity Maggie's Centres only.
