Story

What is the Fundraising Competition All About?

Children aged 3-13 are being challenged to put on their Superhero Capes and Superhero Masks and design their very own sponsored fundraising activities that will help to raise money for our charity!

The winner of the competition will be featured as a character in an upcoming Adam & Anisah book, alongside a friend or family member!

It is an amazing opportunity! Imagine seeing yourself starring alongside Adam & Anisah in a book that will be read and used by children and families all over the world!

Participants can choose as many fundraising activities as they like, from baking and selling cookies and cakes, washing as many cars as they can, to feeding their family and neighbours!

We only expect participants to be as creative as they can and to do their best!

What Do You Need to Do?

Work out what sponsored activities you would like to do.

Create your own fundraising page on JustGiving and help support this cause. Share your story with your families, friends and neighbours so that they can sponsor you.

Take photos and make videos of your fundraising activities to share with others so that they are encouraged to sponsor you.

Keep hold of your photos and videos, because we would love to see them too!

Why Should You Help?

By fundraising for Ilm2Amal you will be helping us to produce more amazing books and resources and help us to make these learning materials available for children in the U.K and around the world who cannot afford them.

How Can You Win?

The winning entry will be judged using the following criteria:

Creative choice of fundraising

Level of effort and time put in

Amount of money raised

Ideas of Sponsored Activities

The fundraising activities participants decide to do are their choice. They can choose one activity or as many different ones as they want! To help everyone think along the right lines, here are some examples:

Walk X miles every day or walk X distance in one go

Jump/skip/hop a certain number of times every day or all in one go

Learn a new skill

Wash all of your neighbours cars (observing social distancing rules)

Mow the front lawn or do the gardening for as many elderly neighbours as you can (observing social distancing rules)

Organise a sponsored tennis or football tournament between members of your household

Attempt to set or beat a Guinness World Record

Feed your neighbours

Make different craft projects every day and get friends and family to buy your items

Bake cakes/cookies, make drinks and smoothies and sell them (observing social distancing rules)

Get sponsored to plant seeds and flowers every day

Get sponsored to write poems/stories every day

Put on an online show/performance for friends and family and get sponsored for it

Design different games and put them online so others can play e.g. word-searches, puzzles, mazes etc

Participants should get ready to develop strong character, get creative and business savvy, learn a new skill, build their fitness levels and support people in their community all whilst raising money for charity!
