In 2011, six-year-old Abbie’s life was tragically cut short just five months after diagnosis. With no cure and very few clinical trial treatment options available, DIPG remains one of the most aggressive and underfunded childhood cancers.
Each year in the UK, around 40 children are diagnosed. Most won’t live longer than 9 to 12 months. Fewer than 1% survive five years.
But research gives hope. And with your help, hope grows stronger.
We’re aiming to raise as much as possible through this campaign – and every single pound will go directly towards funding crucial DIPG research.
Give Just £1 to Fund Lifesaving Research
We know £1 doesn’t go far these days.
You can’t buy a coffee.
Or a meal deal.
You can’t even get most chocolate bars anymore!
But £1 can fund research.
£1 can give hope.
Throughout May join Superheroes Against DIPG to show that big change starts with small acts. Our goal is to raise funds that can give real hope to families who have heard the words “there’s nothing more we can do.”
Donate £1 – or £1 a month – through our page It may seem small, but every pound is a powerful step toward progress. The crucial part is SHARING your good deed!
Super Squad Challenge: Get 10 friends to donate £1 and recruit their own Super squad of 10.

Don't forget to tick Gift Aid – If you're a UK taxpayer, adding Gift Aid means your £1 donation becomes £1.25 at no extra cost to you. That extra 25p could help us fund even more vital research. Just tick the Gift Aid box when you donate online – it only takes a second but makes a big difference.
Since 2012, we’ve been funding vital research and pushing for change in Abbie’s memory—and in honour of every child taken too soon by DIPG.
This May including DIPG Awareness Day, your £1 could mean a future with treatment options, with time, with hope.
