The people of Sudan need our help.
The brutal massacre that took place on June 3rd took the lives of 118 Sudanese men and women, and resulted in over 700 people being injured by the violence. Even days after, the death toll rises as bodies of protesters and civilians are fished from the Nile.
Our brothers and sisters in Sudan staged peaceful protests, and were met with brutal acts of violence and depraved retaliation. Peace was met with cruelty on that terrible day, and in the days that followed.
We stand with them as family, and as fellow seekers of justice and peace.
Not only are the people of Sudan scarred by these ruthless attacks, they are also facing an economic crisis which has been ongoing since 2018, as the prices of bread, fuel and other essential items in Sudan are sky rocking to new heights. This was one of the reasons for the peaceful protests in Khartoum.
Living conditions are deteriorating each day, and in aftermath of the massacre, the Sudanese people are left in the dark about their livelihoods, their futures and their safety. With people struggling to afford basic necessities, Food Basket donations are crucial to helping these people in their desperate time of need.
Penny Appeals Sudan Emergency response teams are taking the necessary steps to prepare food baskets for the displaced people and starving families in Sudan. Donate to our Sudan Emergency appeal to prevent families in Sudan from going hungry in this dire time.
