The Shorter University Cheer Program has a history of excellence and success. Because of this legacy, this year we are raising money to equip the program to continue to grow and thrive. With the money raised, the SU Cheer program will purchase new equipment and offset the cost of our nationals competition.

SU Cheer will purchase a new set of carpet-bonded mats for practice, camps, and clinics. We will also be investing in training equipment for tumbling and stunting so that our athletes can continue to achieve new skills during their time at Shorter University.

The money raised will also offset the cost of the NCA Collegiate National Competition held in Daytona Beach in April of 2022. The cost of nationals per student is approximately $900. This is a large expense, however, the SU Cheer program has been very successful on the national level. In 2021, the coed team placed 4th at UCA Nationals. This year, we will be taking 2 teams to nationals: an all girl team with 18 athletes and a coed team with 17.
