Step Up for OUSET 2025

This is a virtual relay covering 814.2 miles (1310.4km) in total. The relay will run between the all the Open University offices across the 4 nations. Promoting wellness and raising vital funds for OUSET. All funds raised will support OU Students.

Story

I am impressed by how much distance I actually cover in a day. I started the challenge thinking I would not contribute much, but every week I am adding more and more - thank you to OU Fit Club and OUSET for this.

Step up for OUSET 2025, is a virtual relay covering 814.2 miles (1310.4km) in total. The relay will run between the following Open University offices:

1. Milton Keynes OU Office ➡️ Scotland OU Office: 289.6 miles (466km)

2. Scotland OU Office ➡️ Northern Ireland OU Office: 141.8 miles (228.2km)

3. Northern Ireland OU Officer ➡️ Southern Ireland OU Office: 87.6 miles (141km)

4. Southern Ireland OU Officer ➡️ Wales OU Office: 182.9 miles (294.4km)

5. Wales OU Officer ➡️ Milton Keynes Office: 112.1 miles (180.5km)

We want to see how many laps we can complete, promoting wellness and raising vital funds for OUSET. All funds raised will be used to help OU Students in financial hardship, through OUSET's grant giving activities.

The Open University Students Educational Trust (OUSET) is a charity owned and operated by the OU Students Association, to support OU students who are in severe financial hardship, where the likelihood of successfully completing their study goals is threatened. One of the aims of the OU Students Shop is to support this charitable endeavour. OUSET's Board of Trustees is chaired by the immediate past president of the Students Association and is nearly entirely comprised of student trustees. The majority of funds for OUSET are raised by Students Association members. Year on year, students use their ingenuity and their expertise to come up with ever more interesting ways of raising money on behalf of those students in financial need. However the money is raised, OUSET is always grateful for the support it receives from our OU students, staff, and friends, so any kind donations are sincerely appreciated.
