Visit the charity's profileHill Dickinson in collaboration with the Mission to Seafarers charity are raising awareness and funds for seafarers worldwide by Striding to Singapore!
Between 7 March 2022 and 1 April 2022, we will be walking, running, cycling, swimming and skiing from London to Singapore by collectively travelling a distance of 21,631 km. We will be calling at ports of call significant to the Mission and Hill Dickinson along the way including Rotterdam, Piraeus, Limassol, Dubai, Mumbai and Tuticorin before we reach the finish line: Singapore.
All funds raised in this distance challenge will go to the Mission to Seafarers, a maritime charity. The Mission provides help and support to the 1.5 million crewmen and women who face danger every day to keep our global economy afloat. Whilst providing work to 1.5 million seafarers, shipping remains one of the worlds most dangerous occupations. Piracy, shipwreck and abandonment are just some of the threats that seafarers face on a daily basis. Mental health issues affect many seafarers, but the Missions volunteers and chaplains are there to provide emotional and spiritual support, whether on board ships or at their Seafarers Centres. The Mission is there to provide help for Seafarers when they need it most.
Please show your support by donating today to a team or individual participating in the challenge. We will be walking, running, cycling and skiing for a purpose and would appreciate whatever you are able to give.
Thank you!
