Story
St Peter's is fundraising in order to employ a parish health worker to serve the whole of our community, in collaboration with Parish Nursing, with a special focus on public, diet, and preventative health.
For this project to launch, we need to raise £18,000 (of which we have received a project grant of £3000 from a public health charity). This will enable as to employ a health worker for two years working one day a week. For each £6000 we raise over target, we will be able to extend the role for a day a week.
Every pound will go towards this project and help us to recruit a suitable candidate and launch soon!
Parish Nursing exists to support parishes and communities in developing whole person health care. Partnering with them offers a support network that will improve the viability of the project, alongside a local advisory group of medical professional enthusiastic about the importance of diet and preventative health interventions as contribution to wholeness, healing, and health.
This builds on our existing social isolation project as part of our contribution to the whole community of De Beauvoir Town.
Donations of any size will make a huge difference. Thank you!
