Story
Unfortunately, over the weekend Storm Eunice caused significant damage across the sanctuary.
Were sad to report that strong winds have completely destroyed a field shelter at our Honeysuckle Farm sanctuary and another shelter needs urgent repairs to the roof.
A large tree came down at our Upcott Park sanctuary which blocked access to the yard and fallen branches have caused damage to fencing. One of the big barn doors also suffered damage.
We were also left without power temporarily at our Yelverton sanctuary.
Thankfully, all of our horses and ponies were safely evacuated from affected areas and continue to be looked after by our knowledgeable grooms.
We rely entirely on donations to carry out our work. The estimated cost of the damage is expected to be £7,000.
A donation today will help towards our general running costs to sustain our ability to offer sanctuary for horses and ponies, including rebuilding after Storm Eunice.
