Story
Stop Foodborne Illness (STOP), which is observing it's 30 year anniversary in 2024, is committed to preventing illness and death from foodborne pathogens through education, advocacy, and support. With the help of compassionate individuals like you, we can continue to raise awareness about food safety and work towards eliminating foodborne illnesses in our communities.
In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that 3,000 people die from foodborne illness annually.
In recognition of September's annual Food Safety Education Month, we have organized the fourth annual STOP3000 fundraiser.
Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 in honor of our 30 year anniversary and to support our mission and vision to prevent 3,000 people from losing their lives to illness from foodborne pathogens. This year, we have more custom swag designed by artist Ben Marasco for participants who donate or raise over $50!
