We have been working hard to improve St Marys Centre, our Church Hall, over the last eighteen months to make it a nicer space for all users.

Work started with the new kitchen and new flooring/decorating in both the kitchen and the small hall. We then replaced the ceiling lights in the main hall.

Over the summer we replaced the very old, inflexible and expensive to run, night storage heaters. These have been replaced by much more flexible heaters that can be controlled both locally and remotely and which should show considerable savings in electricity usage compared to the old heaters.

The cost for the new heating system is £20,000. Thanks to previous fundraising efforts, legacies and a generous donation from the Beer Festival, we already have over £13,000 towards this. However, we now need to raise the remaining £7,000.
