Story

Northwood African Education Foundation was established in 2011. The charitys aim was to build and run a new school, St. Georges School in Gondar, Ethiopia, for orphans and the most vulnerable children in Ethiopia, integrating the high standards of education the children in the UK enjoy with the best of the Ethiopian curriculum. St. Georges School is now running at full capacity, educating over 500 of the most vulnerable children in the region. We have created an educational and communal centre at St. Georges School, with the potential to impact the immediate community of 50,000 people. We need your help more than ever, our entire intake to St. George's School of 50 children this year are from displaced families. Most have been forced to fleet their homes in terriying circumstances. They have come to Gondar which has been completely overwhelmed with refugees and they are living in appalling conditions. St. George's School provides a haven of calm for these children as well as providing an education to give them a real chance in life. You can change lives today by supporting the St. George's School Alpine Challenge!
