Story
Once again, St Georges needs your support.
Whilst the number of Covid admissions is decreasing and the vaccination programme means that there is light at the end of the tunnel, our staff are physically and emotionally exhausted, and these pressures will continue for the foreseeable future.
Throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic, our NHS staff have worked tirelessly, day in day out, to provide patients with the care they need. It is no surprise that our staff are tired, fatigued, overwhelmed which is why we need your support more than ever. We want to be there for them - and our most vulnerable patients.
As the official NHS charity, we are working closely with St Georges to keep up with the current situation, their needs and how we can help. Your donations to our Covid Appeal have been making a huge difference and will continue to do so.
We have provided over 900 weekly Staff Wellbeing Boxes to wards and departments across St Georges Hospital, Queen Marys Hospital and our local community sites. These boxes filled with snacks, drinks, personal care products, mindfulness puzzles books and so much more, have been providing staff with a welcome pick-me-up and creating lots of smiles.
We have funded additional iPads for patients so they can stay in contact with their loved ones whilst visitor restrictions to the hospital continue.
We continue to support our St Georges Hospital Vaccine Hub. We have recently provided 5,000 pens for patients to use and keep when filling out questionnaires ahead of their appointment to help reduce the spread of the virus and we have also provided comfort items for the waiting area.
As you can see your donations have already made a huge difference and will continue to do so.
Please donate today and show your support for St Georges at this crucial time.
Thank You.
For any appeal we are supporting, there is a small chance that we will raise more money than we need. If this happens, or if for any unforeseen reason we are unable to proceed as originally intended, your gift will be put towards our Thank You Appeal where it will ensure any urgent needs of our hospitals are addressed quickly, helping to secure items that are over and above what is normally provided. Thank you.
