Story

As Covid-19 continues to impact our daily lives, its affect in care homes continues to grow. Here at St. Francis Care Home, we do everything we can to be a second family to our residents but there is no substitute for those very special visits made by loved ones. Many of our residents have not been able to see their family members since the beginning of lockdown in March.

With restrictions in place, meaning that visitors can not come into care homes, we want to create a safe and comfortable way for our residents to meet and talk with their loved ones. Safetime pods are visitor pods placed next to the care home. Visitors can be inside this pod while a resident can be inside the home, protected by the window of the pod. There is also a speaker system to allow visitors to be clearly heard.

We believe that this will bring great happiness to our residents who miss seeing their friends and family and have been isolated from those they love. We are hoping to raise £6,000 to build this Visitor Pod and reunite families.

Every little helps and we thank you for your kind donation.
