'Step Up' to a BRAND NEW challenge and complete 1,000,000 steps in 50 days, 1st November to 21st December inclusive. Walk, run, dance or zumba your way to Christmas and keep mentally focused as an individual, team or group, no matter the weather!
This Challenge is designed to get you moving, keeping physically AND mentally focused at the time of year when dark nights and short days are approaching; and also to help raise funds for us to develop and support men's mental health in Dorset. With the long-term fall-out of lockdown and furlough, never has the need been greater to support the men in our lives with a range of specialised support.
GET INVOLVED!
THIS IS HOW -
1. Target: 1,000,000 in 50 days, 1st November to 21st December inclusive.
2. Any type of 'step-based' activity is allowed. Walk, run, dance or zumba your way to Christmas. Simply use any fitness app or device you wish to keep track of your steps.
3. You can do it as an individual, a couple, a team or a household - please always bear in mind government restrictions. Anyone is welcome. If you are doing it as a couple, group or household, simply add all of your steps together.
4. Get involved on Socials by posting screen shots of your steps from your fitness app, or along your routes - we want to follow your challenge! Feel free to get creative and tag us : @dorsetmind @ty_temel @redefine_jamie @benjaminbanksreynolds - and use our hashtag #StepUpChallenge and #OneMillionSteps.
