Why join STEPtember?
Being in hospital can be intimidating, especially for children, which is why Good Hope Hospital Charity and Heartlands Hospital Charity hope to raise £250,000 to help turn the children’s outpatient departments into welcoming spaces for the 120,000 children that visit Good Hope Hospital or Heartlands Hospital every year.
Ward refurbishments are already making a huge difference to children being treated in other parts of the hospitals. The bright and colourful new spaces help to relieve stress for children and their families, and a fantastic, safe playground helps add fun and joy to their recovery journey.
The money raised during STEPtember will be used to provide a safe, welcoming, and more child-friendly space for the tens of thousands of children who are treated as outpatients every year.
