Story

We invite friends, family, survivors, carers and professionals to join us and take part in this personal challenge!

We are the Caseworker service at Second Chance Headway Centre. We provide face-to-face community-based support and advice across West Yorkshire to individuals who have sustained a Brain Injury and their families/carers.

We work closely with everyone identifying personal goals and creating personalised support. We work collaboratively with a vast number of services including GP's, Acute/non-acute settings, Liaison & Diversion teams, probation, debt services, Adult Social Care, Support workers/Carers, Housing officers, Police and other similar services.

Part of our role is to implement strategies and provide equipment to support short-term memory loss, executive function deficits, Brain Injury knowledge and understanding, effective planning and problem-solving, benefits/debt advice and emotional support. Additionally, we link everyone into appropriate services, collaborative working together to ensure effective outcomes.

Our aim is to use the funds raised to sustain our Peer support group, as this plays a vital role in some individuals rehabilitation, as well as to continue providing essential equipment where needed.

Any donations little or large are welcomed.

Good Luck to everyone taking part!
