Step Into Summer 2019
Join us on the longest day of the year and Step into Summer!
Step into Summer is a 6-mile sunset walk along the stunning Liverpool waterfront. Each step taken by our amazing walkers will raise both awareness and funds for lung cancer, meaning all those affected by the disease can expect better.
If you cant come to the main walk in Liverpool, dont worry. With our help, you can organise your own Step into Summer event with your friends and family within your local area.
About Us
Firstly, we want to thank you so much for choosing to support Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. There are a lot of charities in the UK, but we are the only UK charity wholly dedicated to defeating all forms of lung cancer. It is a responsibility we take very seriously.
Lung cancer is the UK's biggest cancer killer - in both men and women. It killed more people than breast, colo-rectal and prostate cancer combined and yet receives only 6% of research funding. This is simply not good enough and we should all expect better.
We pride ourselves on being a "voice" for patients and their families. We speak up for those whose lives are touched by lung cancer, whose lives have been taken by it, and for those who will face a lung cancer diagnosis in the future.
We campaign to raise awareness of lung cancer and its symptoms every day, all year round. We challenge the stigma surrounding lung cancer and we tackle the anxieties that can hold a person back from seeing their GP when they spot symptoms that might be signs of lung cancer.
