Story
We are challenging you to walk 465,000 steps this October - 15,000 steps a day - and raise money to help blind and partially sighted adults and children in Northamptonshire. You can do it at your own time, location and pace - breaking it down to 15,000 steps a day - and make a lasting impact on people living with sight loss.
All we ask is you raise as much as you can to help us to continue to provide outstanding care to local people.
Simply set up an online fundraising page by linking to this campaign #Step4Sight or contact Rhian Williams for a paper sponsorship form on 01604 719193.
Why take part?
250 every day start to lose their sight. There are an estimated 21,500 people living with some degree of disabling sight loss in Northamptonshire. As the population grows and ages, this is predicted to rise to 33,000 by 2030.
Every penny raised will help us continue our vital work helping people adjust to living with sight loss, offering emotional and practical support at the time they need it most. Just £25 enables one of our experienced Community Support Workers to visit a visually impaired person this their own home and provide expert advice and guidance as well as demonstrating a range of aids and equipment to make life easier.
