Story
Great North Run 2022 will take place on Sunday 11th September 2022. We only have 10 places left!
The Great North Run is the most iconic half marathon in the world and sees participants run from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to South Shields. Thousands of people of all running abilities take part in the annual event, and it is a great way to take on a challenge and raise money for St Barnabas!
How much does it cost?
There is a registration fee of £30 and we ask you to pledge to raise £300 for St Barnabas Hospice.
Of the money you raise, £58 will cover your race fees and the remaining money will directly fund patient care and support across Lincolnshire.
How will we support you?
Once you are registered, we will support you every step of the way. Not only will you receive your own St Barnabas running tech vest to wear on the day of the race, you will also be invited to join our Adventure with St Barnabas private Facebook group where you will be able to meet likeminded people and talk about your challenge. You will be provided with a discount card for local sports and outdoor outlets, sponsorship forms, fundraising hints and tips, a link to JustGiving, as well as training guides leading up to the challenge.
To get your fundraising off to a great start, just follow the link below to set up your JustGiving page. In your welcome email, we will send your further information, including fundraising tips on how to maximise and achieve fundraising goals
How will your support help us?
Your sponsorship money will make a real difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire who are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness. Your fundraising will help to ensure that St Barnabas Hospice can care for more patients and families near you, every day of the year.
By way of example, every £14.58 raised will enable us to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
