HOW TO JOIN US
Did you know that less than 1% of the world's refugee population seeks safety in the UK? and only 0.5% of our population is seeking asylum or a refugee?
We believe that people seeking asylum, like all of us, are human beings who deserve to live in safety - no one should be forced to live in a place where they are at risk of grave danger.
St Augustine's Centre Halifax is a charity that welcomes and supports refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives with dignity. In the past year, we have helped over 1,500 men, women and children with advice on immigration and asylum and offer a range of training, creative and wellbeing activities.
We can't do what we do without the support of our communities which is why we’re inviting everyone to walk, run, climb, cycle, swim, row, or push a collective 24,907 miles (the circumference of the Earth), whilst trying to raise £24,000 in 2024.
All Together 24 is open to everyone, young and old, individuals and groups, regardless of the miles contributed or monies raised. Every penny, every mile donated adds up as people across Calderdale and beyond play their part. So whether you choose to do a solo run or grab your bike and get pedalling, or you want to rally your friends, family or workmates in a sponsored something, we’d love to hear from you.
All we ask is that you:
1. Fill in this form to let us know what you’re doing
2. Make your pledge by end of summer and complete your challenge by 1 December 2024. Don't forget to let us know how you're getting on.

We are global citizens of the world. This challenge gives us the chance to not only raise funds for our work for people fleeing war and persecution, but also come together in a physical expression of support as we fight for a fairer future for refugees.
