We are fundraising for our very own Start Small bus! It's primary use will be to transport the majority of our children to and from school every day. Currently, we hire a driver and a van for our children each day. As you can imagine, this is very costly and really adds up over the course of a year. With our own van, we would have reliable, safe transportation and would be able to save so much money for the organization. We have several other projects and funds that we would like to allocate money towards. For example, we would like to provide each of our families with water filters in their home which would provide clean water for up to ten years. We have many cases of illness and unexpected events that occur over the year that would be easily relieved if we were able to have that extra money set aside. There are several additional projects that we are always fundraising for and the money saved from having our own van would go directly to these. Additionally, the van can be used for extra activities and events for Start Small such as swimming days, field trips and more. This really will make a huge difference for the organization and the financial impact will be long term and long lasting!
