Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Sue Ryder Starlight Hike returns on Saturday 3rd October 2026 at 8.00pm. Join us and thousands of walkers for a great night out and walk under the stars with family and friends to celebrate a loved one.

We can’t stop terminal illness, death and grief from happening. But we can stop people facing them alone. At Sue Ryder we believe how we die matters, which is why we’re committed to being alongside people through terminal illness, death and grief.

We provide expert palliative and end-of-life care and grief support, offering hope, dignity, and kindness when it matters most.

Every day, Sue Ryder supports people who are dying or grieving, and because of you, we can be there for countless others. Last year alone, we gave over 655,000 hours of care. Every second mattered, and you gave us the means to do it.

£6 could provide breakfast for in one of our hospices, supporting their comfort and wellbeing as they receive the expert, kind and dignified care they deserve.

£30 could fund an hour of expert care from a Sue Ryder Nurse, providing specialist support, comfort and dignity for someone living with a terminal illness.

£65 could help provide a physiotherapy or occupational therapy session, supporting someone living with a terminal illness to stay comfortable, manage symptoms and maintain independence and dignity.

£120 could fund an online bereavement counselling session, helping someone talk to a trained professional who can listen, reassure and support them.
