Story
After being inspired by a talk from Para-Olympian, Rachel Morris, Elliot and Ara wanted to do something to help a local disability charity. With the help of their classmates, they are hoping to raise an amazing £150 through completing a WHOLE marathon.
If you would like to show support by donating to their page, we would be very grateful!
Challengers is dedicated to breaking down the barriers of play for disabled children and young people. Challengers is a place where all disabled young people can have fun, make friends and try activities they have never had the opportunity to before.
Uniquely, Challengers will never turn a child away. Their non-exclusion policy ensures that everyone is included, regardless of the complexity of their care, needs or impairments. Where other providers of play and leisure say no, Challengers will always say yes!
The staff at Challengers are fantastic. There was an issue with the behaviour of my son and it was dealt with professionally. I was very upset that my son had displayed this particular behaviour and they dealt with it so well. My son really enjoys the outings that he has been on especially swimming and trampolining and bowling. Its good that challengers are not afraid about taking children out and about in the mini van. It allows my son to mix with the community and his peers. - Challengers Parent
