Story

Hello everyone and thankyou for visiting our Just Giving page.

We're David Gilbert, Kevin Jones, Troy Davies, the Rev Gary Norman and Adam Shiels, who know each other from our local church - St Mary's - in our home town of Rickmansworth. St Mary's has been a focal point of our local community for over 750 years!

What you may not know is that churches - including The Church of England - do not any receive financial support from the state. So all the running costs, including the maintenance of the building (which is listed as Grade II with English Heritage), needs to be raised from the parishioners and the local community.

So to both raise pounds for St Mary's - and lose pounds on our stomachs - we will be running 10,000 metres around Rickmansworth Aquadrome (following the same course used by Ricky Park Run) on June 29th starting at 11am.

We hope you'll be able to support us by clicking on the donate button, and if you're at the Ricky Aquadrome on June 29th please give us a smile and a wave to spur us on!

Best Wishes,

David, Kevin, Troy, Gary and Adam
