Story
A team of hospice supporters will be taking on this amazing challenge of a lifetime from 2nd-13th November 2019.
Starting by spreading our care by helping in a Nepalese hospice, undertaking a specific project to help improve their facilities for their patients and families. After two days at work the team will set off on their trek, experiencing maximum altitudes of 3,400m (Poon Hill); Temperatures of 15C to 25C during the day, and -5C to 5C at night.
Please support our dedicated team at St Richards and help them to continue giving our patients and their loved ones the compassion, kindness, dignity and respect they deserve as they come to the end of their lives. Your donation will help put life into days for those we care and support. Whether its a relaxing whirlpool bath, a comfortable pillow or time to talk to our nurses or family support team, we make sure every moment counts.
For example, your donation could help us fund;
£15.23 could pay for a specialist Day Hospice nurse for an hour, offering care and support as well as some time out from day to day routines and the chance to meet others in a similar situation.
£82.67 could pay for a Hospice at Home Healthcare Assistant for a day, enabling patients to remain at home in the last days of life.
£180.97 could pay for a Nurse Specialist for a day, offering support to patients in their own homes that it tailored to their individual needs.
£445.82 could pay for a patient to receive specialist care in our In-patient Unit for one day
£2,386.41 could pay for a family support counsellor for one month.
