Story
Peter Phillips and his team of hardworking volunteers are the Folkestone Town Sprucer Project, which is managed and supported by Sunflower House, a local Folkestone charity.
We have to find every penny to run this project, so your help is fantastic.
You will have seen them in their hi-viz jackets hard at work weeding, cleaning and clearing the paths, pavements and thoroughfares, and picking litter everywhere. They are out in all weathers, sprucing up the town for all of us who live in Folkestone and our visitors.
This unique scheme is NOT part of the local council provision - it relies on private donations and charitable grants; it continues the legacy left to the town by the late David Taylor, its founder, who sadly passed away in December 2017.
How can you help?
If everyone in Folkestone gave just £5 each the Town Sprucer Scheme would be secure for 10 years! Every donation helps, no matter how small.
Will you skip two coffees this week and give the money to the Sprucer project instead?
