Story
Our mission is more important than ever.
For more than 50 years, Neighborcare Health has been at the forefront of ensuring everyone has access to the healthcare they need. We serve more than 70,000 patients each year, primarily low-income and uninsured families, immigrants, and people experiencing homelessness. We ask everyone to pay what they can, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. During this COVID-19 pandemic, our mission to provide quality, affordable health care for our most vulnerable neighbors is more important than ever.
Join our Healthcare Heroes as we respond to the COVID-19 crisis.
Neighborcare Health staff are on the front lines of the local response to COVID-19, working in communities disproportionately impacted by the crisis due to poverty, lack of insurance and sick days, homelessness, immigration status and other inequities. Our care teams are showing up every day to provide care, respect, support and security to our patients. Now more than ever, we need the communitys support to continue to provide vital services and care to our most vulnerable neighbors.
Due to public health recommendations for social distancing, we made the difficult decision to cancel our May 13th Spring Dinner, Neighborcares largest fundraiser of the year. Even though we will not be able to gather in person, it is crucial that we raise support from the community so that we may continue our important work during this public health emergency.
As we are all shifting the ways that we work in our new normal, we would like to invite you to join us for Spring Give, an online fundraising event to raise critical funds for Neighborcare Health. We are committed to serving our community during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond, and we are grateful to have your support as we work through this together.
In the midst of this crisis, our community has already shown incredible generosity in helping us exceed our fundraising goal for our Healthcare Heroes campaign, a fund we established to support staff members who are experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. We hope our community will continue this generosity and join with our Healthcare Heroes as we respond to the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to our work on the front lines during this crisis, we will be on the front lines of the next wave of as we continue to provide much needed care to community members who have recently lost their jobs.
