With the hopeful easing of restrictions in April, more sunlight and better weather on the horizon, it really feels like there is positivity coming this way. But for many people who are struggling with their mental health, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This last year has been incredibly difficult for everyone, and those with pre-existing poor mental health have been hit extremely hard. We provide a befriending service and, when restrictions allow, group support and activities to help people to improve their mental wellebing.
That is why The Lighthouse is campaigning to get people to join our Spring Bounce Back and raise funds to help us to help those who need mental health support. We also hope that the incentive will help you bounce back too, after the bleakest of winters.
What can you do?
To make this fundraiser inclusive, we would like you to set yourself a challenge that suits your abilities and interests that is based around the theme of Spring and/or bouncing! Some ideas are:
(you could do these from 12th March to 12th April, or for all of March... or All of March and up to 12th April! )
Bounce on a Trampoline for a set number of minutes/bounces daily!
Create a piece of spring themed craft daily!
Complete a set distance travelling only by bunny hops (daily/total)!
Spend a whole day hopping on one leg to get everywhere!
Do a set number of football 'keepy uppies' - either daily, or a total without dropping the ball!
Write or recite a spring or hope themed poem daily for March!
Or anything else you can think of, big or small!
