Story
With your support, over the years A Rocha UK has been able to build on our local and practical experience to influence Christians and Churches on a national scale. On behalf of everyone at A Rocha UK, thank you for being our partners in this important work.
We have been working hard for nature and people during the pandemic. But with churches closed, our speaker programme cancelled, and other sources of income badly affected, we now urgently need your help.
We are looking to raise £30,000. This will enable us to provide key services now and develop work for the future, so that we can emerge from the current crisis in the best position to keep serving.
Here is how we are adapting:
> Continuing the most vital maintenance of our nature reserves.
> Producing an extra fortnightly Wild Christian e-bulletin, with more home-based and study activities, to help families to connect with nature and safeguard their mental health while outdoor activity is restricted.
> Completing a major update and expansion of the resources available on the Eco Church website, to facilitate faster progress by churches.
> Establishing a panel of volunteer specialist advisors to provide tailored support to churches and Christian conservation partners around the country.
> Chairing the coalition developing Climate Sunday for the autumn, to help churches engage effectively with the ongoing existential threat of climate breakdown, following the pandemic.
Please consider donating, to ensure we can continue connecting churches and families with nature and God in this crisis, and emerge in the best possible position to support Christians and churches to care for creation in the critical years ahead.
