Story

As we now look towards the hopes of current and future pupils, we have raised our aspirations for sport even further. Our vision is to create an environment where every pupil has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background.

By investing in state-of-the art facilities, top-tier-coaching and comprehensive elite athlete development programmes, we aim to:

- nurture the next generation of sports stars and community leaders;

- continue to be recognised as one of the top schools for sport in the UK;

- attract and retain the best coaching staff and students

- offer a range of high quality sports facilities which attract, and meet the

needs of, pupils of national and international calibre

- enable children to find and fulfil their own sporting potential and enjoy

exercise as part of a healthy living lifestyle

We are similarly ambitious for our community in East Kent too. We want to:

- support the growth and development of sport in our Thanet community

through collaboration, the sharing of expertise and shared use of its

specialist resources;

- provide high quality facilities for local clubs so that they become more

cohesive socially and to be able to excel in sport;

- create a source of hope, inspiration and aspiration through sport for local

people.

St Lawrence College has a rich history and a reputation for excellence. The genuine feeling of community is tangible and there is no doubt that the Christian values, boarding ethos, all-through nature of the School and focus on the individual contribute to a feeling of care and compassion that permeates every corner of the campus. Strong pastoral care, high-quality teaching, and a great emphasis on extracurricular activity make this a very special community in which to live and learn.
