Story
We're challenging all our St Robert Southwell children to become sporting heroes by completing as many laps as possible round our special track, within their time frame and wearing fabulous fancy dress.
Just over a month from now, on Friday 24th June all children are invited to come in to school in fancy dress that represents their favourite sporting hero. Throughout the day classes will take turns in completing as many laps as possible round our special track on the school field. The length of time children will have to complete as many laps as possible varies slightly with age:
YrR & Yr1 - 10 mins, Yr2 & Yr 3 - 15 mins, Yr4, Yr5 & Yr6 - 20 mins
The track will have a few fun obstacles along the way to make sure this challenge is enjoyed by all.
Every child will receive their very own medal and certificate for completing this sporting challenge. We will be awarding prizes in each class for 'Race Winner', 'Best Costume' and 'Most Sponsorship Raised'.
This is our JustGiving campaign which you can link your own fundraising page to. We'd really recommend doing this so you can collect sponsors remotely and claim gift aid. All monies raised will need to be collected & dropped to the office by Friday 15th July, along with completed Sponsorship forms.
Additional forms, along with JustGiving instructions and an overview of the challenge can be found attached to the Parentmail will has been sent out.
Please know, this challenge is centred around some friendly competition and fun. We do not want anyone to feel under pressure when things may be tight. We really want the children to enjoy the chance to dress up and test themselves so they can glow with pride at the end of the day for smashing our course.
Thank you for your support in this,
The Friends of St Robert Southwell
