Covid-19 - Urgent donations required to keep SLWCS from permanent closure

SLWCS depends entirely on volunteer placement fees but following Covid-19, our field centre is closed, all volunteers have left & we've had no choice but to let our field support staff go. Your donation will help keep us from permanent closure.

Story

Covid 19 has changed everything for everyone everywhere. Countless organisations are buckling from forced closure, millions of people are struggling to survive after having lost their jobs, with no certainly of when 'normal' will again resume.

At SLWCS the impacts of the corona virus have made it impossible for us to continue our important work within the community of reducing human elephant conflict. Our field centre has now closed and we have regretfully had to lay off all of our field support staff to try to get through this challenging time. We have less than a month until we will have to make some major decisions on if we can keep our two ecologists on the team.

Any donations that you can make, even if it's only a very small amount, will help us to see this struggle through and to hopefully continue tirelessly with our vision of saving elephants through helping people.

Thank you for any contribution that you can make to secure the future of SLWCS.

About the charity

SLWCS
RCN 223509091
We EASE the tension, QUELL the conflict, STOP the killing and END the suffering! Each year in Sri Lanka human-elephant conflicts kill 80 people and 200 wild elephants, and force countless orphaned and poached baby elephants into a grim life in captivity. SLWCS saves elephants by helping people.
