Story

Are you looking to support your community? The Slow Cooker Appeal is a great way to do just that!

Energy costs are skyrocketing and food prices have shot up. Many people are just not able to make ends meet at this time.

Better Together Norfolk (a project run by Voluntary Norfolk) aims to do something about this, but we need your help.

That's why we've launched our Slow Cooker Appeal: 2023.

This project will distribute slow cookers, for free, to those most in need in Norfolk. Many individuals and families we support through our own services at Voluntary Norfolk, such as Carers Matter and Better Together Norfolk have benefited from the Slow Cooker Appeal. We also accept requests from referring agencies in Norfolk.

Slow cookers are an incredibly versatile and cost-effective way to cook meals, especially for those who may not have access to a full kitchen or are on a tight budget. With a slow cooker, families can prepare nutritious and delicious meals that can last for several days. Cooking with vegetables and inexpensive cuts of meat can also reduce the need to purchase expensive and unhealthy fast foods.

Every penny counts and we thank you for any donation you are able to make.
