WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP .

As humans encroach further and further into the rainforest, more trees are cut down and the forest is fragmented which leaves the sloths very vulnerable. We are already seeing the negative impacts of habitat loss in Costa Rica, with sloth numbers falling in the wild and genetic abnormalities spreading throughout populations. If we want to safeguard a future for sloths, there are 6 big problems that we need to fix:

WHAT WE DO.

To solve these problems we have developed a range of successful conservation solutions that provide ways for sloths to peacefully coexist with the people sharing their habitat. We need your help to continue running and expanding these programs in 2020!

We are insulating power lines to prevent electrocutions, sterilizing stray dogs, building 'Sloth Crossing' wildlife bridges over roads, running education outreach programs in local communities, coordinating international campaigns against sloth exploitation, planting trees to restore and connect sloth habitats, monitoring the survival of orphan sloths after they have been returned to the wild and conducting research to better understand the sloth's ecological requirements.
