Story
On Tuesday 16th April, Nugent will be asking our supporters to give up their bed for the night to experience just a fraction of the challenges of what it is like to be homeless.
Homelessness is a real and growing social issue on the streets of Liverpool. Nugent are hoping to raise as much funds as possible to continue helping those who depend on our support.
By taking part in Sleep Out with Nugent, you will help to raise money for our services that work to combat homelessness or help those at risk of homelessness.
Sadly, many care leavers find themselves homeless at the age of 18; this is something we as a society should be deeply concerned about. Here at Nugent, we are working to bridge the gap and work on projects which provide basic life skills as well as help with finances and mental health as we equip our young people with the things they need to reduce the risk of homelessness.
We also operate a New Beginnings scheme which houses those who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. However there is currently little funding available to help get someone set up in their accommodation. We are raising funds to help purchase the essentials we often take for granted, such as pots, pans, towels and utensils.
