Story
From Vicky, 'On the 16th July 2018 at Medway Maritime Hospital, I witnessed the birth of a tiny gorgeous little girl named Isabella Rose, my first grandchild. She was delivered at 1.25am, and weighed 3 pound 14 ounces, sadly she was born sleeping. She was the most beautiful angel I've ever seen!
Thanks to the wonderful charity Abigail's Footsteps, we had the privilege of using a cold cot, which enabled us to make memories, and fill her tiny heart with lots of cuddles and kisses. When I held Isabella for the first time I promised her that I would raise money to fund a cold cot, so that other families would be able to make the memories that we have.'
Vicky and Kerry will be raising money to donate an Abi cold cot to St Thomas' Hospital in London. The maternity unit are currently updating the Bereavement Butterfly Suite and are in desperate need for an Abi cold cot as one of the busiest hospitals in London.
Abigail's Footsteps worked closely with The Bond Group to produce the Abi cold cot, a specially designed and affordable cot that contains a cooling system, that will keep a baby's body at 4 degrees Celsius, which allows parents and family more time to spend with their baby than would otherwise be possible, helping them through the grieving process.
Thank you for your time and consideration to donate. Whether you give a little or a lot it all helps to make a big difference.
