Gill Clay's Silver Wolf Wing Walk

Our inspirational, Beaver Leader, Gill Clay has just been awarded the Silver Wolf Award. To mark this, she's decided to show us all why - Gill will be marking her 86th Birthday with a Wing Walk to raise funds and awareness for Scouting.

Story

Scouting provides action, adventure and development opportunity for young people worldwide. To do this, it relies on the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Few of our volunteers are as dedicated, or as inspirational, as Gill Clay who still enjoys leading activities for the most energetic of youngsters even as she approaches her mid 80's. Gill has recently been awarded Scouting's highest possible accolade, the Silver Wolf, and has chosen to celebrate this with her most daring challenge yet (yes - even more challenging than leading the Beavers). On 10th June, 2023, Gill will be taking part in a Wing Walk - standing on the wings of a biplane as it soars over the Gloucestershire countryside. Please support Gill in her efforts to raise funds and awareness for local and national Scouting.
