Story

Casey is the star of our winter appeal after appearing on the A49 with an injured leg and was brought into our shelter. The vets at Quarry confirmed his leg as feared, had been fractured and he needed surgery to correct it, so off he went to Southwater Vets in Telford to have his corrective surgery. He is recovering well and is a model patient, he has a really sweet nature and is loving the fuss he is getting from our volunteers. To help Casey with his recovery he is receiving physio from Lucy, who is a mobile physiotherapist from Wrekin Veterinary Physiotherapy. Lucy has also been helping some of our resident cats who are proving that cats can accept physio and really benefit from it too. We have seen such a difference in the time she has been helping us.

Our veterinary bills have been rising over this past year and many of the cats who have come into us have needed some form of veterinary treatment, with the most common being dentals. We have seen an increase in the need for cats of all ages needing dental work ranging from minor to extensive. With your support for our winter appeal you will be helping us to provide the veterinary treatments the cats and kittens in our care need.
