Story
Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust strongly believes in the power of partnerships between schools and charities to change lives. This year, we are giving students and staff the opportunity to make a difference on a global scale.
We are excited to announce the launch of a Trust wide charity event in partnership with Water Aid.
Our aims are to unite all the schools within our Trust under one cause - Water Aid, an organisation dedicated to providing clean water and safe sanitation to communities worldwide.
What are we doing?
A range of activities will be taking place across the Trust during October. These include: Dressing in blue or as a superhero, taking part in the Water Aid Pupil Pipeline Challenge, and students taking on the Just Water Challenge.
The month will culminate in a special event – The Shireland Ultra Run. On Friday 25th October, Mr Cusworth-Yafai, an assistant principal at Thorns Collegiate Academy will undertake a 35-mile ultra marathon. He will be running around to each school in our Trust passing on the Water Aid batons designed by our students.
With your support we can make a significant impact and support Water Aid’s mission to transform lives.
Don’t forget to follow us on social media to see all the brilliant work our staff and students are doing.
