Story
This year alone, an estimated 44,000 people received a cancer diagnosis in Ireland. That's 120 people every day and 5 people every hour hearing the words "you have cancer" throughout the country.
With sufficient priority and investment, we believe in a future when no one dies of cancer. Our mission at the Irish Cancer Society is to help bring that day forward, thanks to the support of people like you.
By taking part in Shave or Dye, you are helping to fund life-changing cancer research and provide vital support services to patients and their loved ones in communities across Ireland. Our work couldn't be possible without you, so thank you.
How it works:
1) Decide what to do - shave your head, dye your hair, or go to school or work with the ultimate bad hair day!
2) Set a fundraising target
3) Collect pledges
4) Once you reach your fundraising target, make the new hairdo happen!
Shave your head, dye your hair, have your bad hair day, and take pictures and videos and share them on social media, tagging the Irish Cancer Society and using the hashtag #ShaveOrDye.
